Welcome to Capital City Band Expo!
For 27 years, EXPO has been a premiere high school marching band competition in the capital city of the State of North Carolina!
Our preliminary and finals format allows all musicians and visual artists to display their talent and hard work, culminating in the presentation of the prestigious Capital Cup to our Grand Champion.
EXPO was one of the first events to use North Carolina Music Educators Association and North Carolina Bandmasters Association adopted Adjudication Procedures in order to bring consistency to judging standards.
The Sanderson Band Boosters partners with community sponsors and over 250 volunteers to ensure an enjoyable competition for participants, instructors, families and fans.
Our beautiful Gregson Stadium has expansive seating for fans and vehicle accessibility for a wide range of props and instrument delivery.
We work hard to make sure everyone leaves EXPO feeling like a Champion!
