Sanderson High School Marching Band Camp to be held at Campbell University
in beautiful Buies Creek, North Carolina.
Registration
to be held Friday, July 24, from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM in the lobby of the Bryan
Dorm (the boy's dorm). It is important
to be on time as the band students will begin leaving the dorms at 9:00AM
to meet at 9:15 AM for practice.
Parents
to pick up luggage in the dorm lobbies from 3:00 – 3:30 PM on Tuesday, July 28.
Parent
Meeting to be held 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Tuesday, July 28. This is a planning and information
session for the 2009-2010 school year.
Additional information will be available at this time about
activities for the year and ways to earn fair share dollars.
Band
to perform around 4:45 PM on the field on Tuesday, July 28.
Directions
– From Raleigh you may take either 440 to South Saunders Street to 401
South OR Capital Blvd. To 401 South. Continue on 401 South to Lillington. At the junction of 401 and 421, take 421 to Buies
Creek. Stay straight on 421. It is about 10 minutes from Lillington
to Buies Creek. Take a left onto Leslie Campbell Road and this will take you to the dorms. Registration is in the Bryan Dorm where the boys will be staying. Jones Hall is where the girls will be staying. Watch for signs to SHS Band Camp. This is about a 1-hour drive. You may want to allow extra time for
traffic through town. There are
many fast food restaurants along this route for breakfast or bathroom
breaks.
Please
consult the second hand-out “What to Bring to Camp” for a list of items
your band student will need for a successful week at camp.
Chaperones
may leave Andrea Nevill’s cell phone number with their families as an
emergency contact. Voice mail on
that number will be checked at each break time in the camp day. Messages left on voice mail will be
relayed in a timely fashion. The
